The Importance of a Wedding Plan
September 9, 2009
Planning a wedding can be very costly if you don’t know how to budget your money correctly. You could end up in debt. You should always keep an eye on your finances and sacrifice things that you might not need for that special wedding day.
To help yourself to monitor your expenses, create a budget list. Creating a budget list will help you stay on track. Here are a couple of things you can think about when you are creating a budget list for your wedding? How do you create a budget list?
First create a list of everything you need for your wedding and then calculate how much each item or the places will cost. For example; if you would like the wedding to be at a church you need to find out how much a pastor charges to do the ceremony and how much to rent out the church. If it seems a little expensive try asking a family pastor or minister.
If renting out the church is expensive you can have the wedding inside a friend or families house to actually cut the cost. Your family might even help on this occasion. Always look for ways to cut the cost on things you need for your wedding like decorations, attire etc.
Your list will start to vary in prices when you figure out the expenses and what to cut out or find an inexpensive price for what you need. Since your money is very limited you need to estimate what you are willing to spend for the wedding and stick with that limited amount.
Never go over your limit and just compromise on certain things. If you don’t, it might cause problems later down the road. After you have figured out what you things you need that you cut cost on and transfer everything over to another piece of paper. Now you’ll have a better vision on how your wedding will turn out without spending a whole lot. Always keep things simple and not so complicated.
It’s your wedding day, it should be everything you want and dream and not nightmare. Keeping a note of all your expenses can also save you for that wonderful honey moon cruise you want to take.
