Why A Halter Wedding Dress Is A Viable Option

Most of all, she wants her wedding dress to be just right for her and show off her figure. From this aspect, she may choose a halter wedding dress since that sets off her neckline and shoulders. This style never goes out of fashion and is suitable for simple or elaborate weddings. Basically, a halter dress has a strap that goes around the back of the neck and leaves the shoulders bare.

A strapless wedding gown could be converted into a halter type. In fact, the halter dress has the advantage over strapless gowns because the halter allows the dress to fit comfortably, avoiding the pinch at the arm pits and a cleavage at the back, as is often experienced in a strapless gown. The width of the strap will depend upon the figure of the bride. Narrow straps are perfect for a slim bride, especially if she likes to show off her beautiful collar bones.

However, narrow straps are better suited for informal weddings. The straps can start either from the centre of the gown or from points closer to the arms. Either way they can be very flattering, setting off the arms and shoulders attractively. It is usual to make the halters attractive by decorating it with glittery beads or jewels. A lovely effect could be achieved by adding a ruffle along the edge of the halter or tying it at the back of the neck in a large bow of chiffon or organza.

A halter wedding dress will not be suitable if you wish to wear a necklace. Since the halter goes around the neck closely, the necklace is bound to get snagged in it. It is best to settle on lovely earrings and bracelets.
