In these, it is customary to use natural products like bamboo. Crane motifs are used in Japanese wedding decorations because cranes mate for life and are noted for their devotion to each other at all times. Japanese wedding kimonos depict cranes for this reason.

Japanese wedding favors include, hand fans, cat figurines, Kaeru frog charms, paper lanterns, sake, incense sticks and articles with cherry blossom prints.
