Unlike in the past, the color black is now more accepted as an elegant color for a wedding dress. Black wedding dresses used to be just suitable for Halloween weddings, but brides have grown to like the color since it has a slimming effect and it is considered chic and in style.
Although there are those who find an all black dress too dark and somber for such an occasion, one can actually mix it with other colors just as elegant like silver, gold, red and white and the effect will be just as eye catching. One thing to consider though is to choose a fabric which is soft to touch and feels light to the skin.
A bride also has to avoid too much make up. Keep the face looking fresh and beautiful with light make up when wearing a black dress to maintain an elegant look. You can style a black colored any way you like just as long as it suits you and the occasion. When you want to emphasize your figure, you can choose a body hugging design, a full ball gown skirts which of course must have a tight fitting bodice top.
