While it may seem overwhelming and impossible at first, it is absolutely possible and feasible to create your own beautiful wedding cake. Some planning and creativity will go a long way and can definitely save you a bundle of cash.
There are dozens of books, websites, online forums, and other resources available to help you come up with ideas for your cake. You first want to pick out the size and style of the cake you will create for your special day. Consider the colors and theme of your wedding for inspiration. Also consider your guests’ tastes.
Remember that an elaborate cake can be made from simple, appealing flavors. Your guests do not (and should not!) need to be cake chefs to appreciate a beautiful and tasty homemade piece of art. Large craft stores are great places to begin thinking about your cake design.
